JP'S IN THE COMMUNITY
The Justice of the Peace service is available to all customers and is free of charge.
The Justice of the Peace may witness documents such as affidavits and statutory declarations.
The Justice of the Peace service is available Thursdays from 10:30am - 12:30pm.
PLEASE NOTE - This service will be closed Thursday 14 December and will return in the new year, Thursday, 18 January 2024.
The JP’s are located on the ground level, opposite the ramp and available to witness the following documents;
- Statutory declarations
- Affidavits
- Wills
- Power of Attorney, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Advance Health Directives
- Documents dealing with land titles
- Interstate Commonwealth and some international documents
- Documents giving consent to the marriage of a minor
Please note our JPs cannot sign Queensland Land Title Documents, Power of Attorney , Enduring Power of Attorney or confirm that photos are a true likeness. A Queensland JP can sign all of these documents.
Make sure you bring the following items with you when you visit the Justice of the Peace service;
- Drivers license or
- Medicare card or
- Passport or
- Proof of age card or
- Pension card
Please do not sign any documents before you visit the Justice of the Peace.
